Hikes in Rocky Mountain House
Twin Lake Trail
This out and back trail is only 4.5 km in length with a small elevation gain of 63 meters. This will only take around 1 hour to complete, so it’s a great pre-breakfast morning trail to hike. It’s super close to our campsite, only a 6-minute drive. Find out more information here.
Crimson Lake Trail
This out and back trail is a lengthy 19 km in length. This can be considered moderate to challenging depending on skill level. We think you should plan around 5 hours to complete this hike, best started in the early mornings. You can also mountain bike this trail if you wish! Find out more info here.
Bicentennial Trail
An in between hike of the previous two, this is another out and back with a length of 14 km. Considered a moderate route, it only has half the elevation gain of Crimson Lake Trail, 287 meters. Be warned, the bugs can get bad in the summer, so use lots of bug spray. If going at a moderate pace, expect it to take you around 3.5 hours to complete. Find out more info here.
