Campground Policies
Policies apply to camp Rocky Mountain House & camp Kootenay River.- Check in times are between 2 PM and 8 PM. Check out time is 11am. If you will be arriving after 8 PM, require an early check-in, or a later departure time please notify the office to make arrangements. Please note we do accept arrivals after 9pm.
- Only one vehicle per site, parked in front of the unit on the gravel – extra vehicles or visitors to be parked in the overflow parking.
- The speed limit within the campground is 10 km/h.
- Please do not move the fire pits and never leave your fire unattended while burning.
- Both grey and black water tanks must be full before dumping. This will save your tanks and our sewer lines from plugging.
- Max Camp Unit per Site: ONE camping unit is included per site. Camping unit is defined as a travel trailer, a tent trailer, a camper van, a truck tent, a motorhome, a tent. Please contact the office for requests related to additional camping units. Approval will depend on availability and site size.
- Max Adults per Site: the site fees include 2 adults only, defined as over 13. Each additional adult is $15/night. There is a maximum of 4 adults per site, no exceptions.
- Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. – 9 a.m. No unreasonable noise is permitted at any time.
- The laundry room is open 24/7. Please do not hang clothes on lines or on trees at the campsite.
- No liquor is allowed in public areas, other than your own site.
- Smoking of any substance is not permitted in public areas. Please be considerate of your neighbours.
- Please keep your campsite free of clutter for the enjoyment of all our guests. Black Sheep Camp reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $100 if a campsite is left in an undesirable condition at check-out, including but not limited to excessive garbage, abandoned items, pet waste, damage, or any mess requiring more than routine cleaning.
- Please separate refundable bottles from garbage and place them in proper receptacles.
- Offenders of vandalism, including abuse of vegetation life and/or theft will be evicted and prosecuted.
- The Operation of OHVs within the Campground permits you to idle in and out from your site to the nearest exit and the entrance, between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm.
- Visitors must park in designated parking areas and walk in; we ask all visitors to leave by 11 p.m.
- Pets are welcome! Please register your pet with the campground office, upon check in. We do insist that they are kept quiet and, on a leash, please clean up after your pet and use the receptacles provided.
- We reserve the right to absolve responsibility from natural or unnatural events or acts of nature.
- Any activity close/near to or into the river is at your own risk.
- Please notify the management of any concerns or ideas.
- Cancellation Policy
- 14 days and earlier from check-in date is a full refund less a $25 cancellation fee
- 13 days to 8 days before checking in is a 50% refund
- 7 days or less no refund will be offered

- Weather & No Shows: There are no refunds or credit due to inclement weather or no shows.
